Linux system wide proxy settings System-Wide Proxy Settings can be set in your /etc/profile. Procedure is the same as in your home directory. Please note that your home directory setting in .bashrc will overwriting system wide setting in /etc/profile as your bashrc file will be sourced after /etc/profile.
